I am a writer,  living in Grande Prairie, AB, Canada with my wife Tracy, son Logan, and our miniature poodle named Tootsie. I am a self-proclaimed geek, ask anyone. Comics, computer programming, scifi, action, technology you name it I love it!

I'm also an avid martial artist. I've been immersed in Kung Fu and the martial arts the community for over 18 years.  Besides the health and safety benefits the family and friends I've discovered are the best anyone could ask for.

Some of my favourite creators are (in no particular order)  Neil Gaiman, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, R.A. Salvatore,  Mark Waid, Alex Ross, Mike Mignola, Joss Whedon, just to name a few. Basically, if there's a good premise I'll give it a shot.

I have been writing stories all of my life. From a very young age I was interested in telling stories and larger than life adventures. I got the writing bug in the 8th grade when my Language Arts Teacher encouraged me to pursue writing and have always kept that encouragement with me. In college while studying Computer Science I minored in English studies including literary analysis, creative writing, and children's literature.

For the 2016 Collins Writing Contest I submitted this short story based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with a few odd characters sprinkled about. The theme for the contest was "Fractured Fairy Tales", offering authors the opportunity to explore many different facets of the fary tales we already know.

For me, short stories a fun to play with. Unlike novels, there's a certain satisfaction in completing a story quickly and concisely. For this one I was inspired by the idea of the Hatter and what a tea with him would be like, given the characters he surrounds himself with.

This story won 3rd place in the contest and is collected in the Grande Prairie Public Library's "Fractured Fairy Tales" anthology.

You can read the completed story here.

I have recently completed my first novel ASHA ANDERSON: THE DRAGON- a teen superhero adventure - and am submitting it to publishers and agents.  A sample chapter can be found here.

Below are some of the comic books/graphic novels I've written or had a part in direction:

Venger/Footpath: Endgame (Writer)

From the pages of The Venger: Dead Man Rising and C.H.E.S.S comes this powerful one-shot crossover of two of Ronin's most exciting characters- Matt Spatola's Venger and Alfred Paige's Footpath.

While on the trail of a hi-tech weapons smuggling ring Venger encounter the mysterious Footpath who appears to be after the same ring. Or is she? Or are they both pawns in someone else's EndGame?

HOPE: The HERO Initiative (Project Manager/Editor/Writer)

A fantastic read for a great cause! This anthology features over 25 stories by over 80 artists all to benefit the HERO Initiative.

The Adventures of Lightning Squirrel (Editor)
